Brief Description about the Project:

  • This study is collaboration between the University of California San Francisco and St. John’s Research Institute, funded by the US National Institute of Mental Health. This cluster RCT is designed to implement and evaluate an intervention to primary health centres on outcomes in patients dually diagnosed with mental illness and cardiovascular disease/diabetes in 50 Primary Health Clinics in rural Karnataka.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage a longitudinal data set using MS Excel software
  • Verification of primary and secondary data entry
  • Upload the data on the UCSF server based on the schedule
  • Communicate with UCSF statistician as needed
  • Follow up on collection of lab reports and maintain QC of them
  • Specific tasks will be assigned based on skills and project needs

Specific Activities: Specific responsibilities will include -

  • Will supervise all primary and secondary data entry
  • Perform quality control of the entered data and seek corrections / clarifications where necessary
  • Will be responsible for maintaining and uploading databases on the shared server
  • Supervising the data entry staff members and communicate regularly with the UCSF-based statistician as well as with the on-site and UCSF-based Project Manager

Key Skills:

  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel or MS Access
  • Previous experience working with data
  • Ability to develop and maintain databases
  • Ability to interpret and follow research protocol
  • Knowledge of cloud based data sharing
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
