Brief Description about the Project:

  • This study is collaboration between the University of California San Francisco and St. John’s Research Institute, funded by the US National Institute of Mental Health. This cluster RCT is designed to implement and evaluate an intervention to primary health centres on outcomes in patients dually diagnosed with mental illness and cardiovascular disease/diabetes in 50 Primary Health Clinics in rural Karnataka.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Managing project payroll and benefits in accordance with local tax policies, tracking project related expenses as well as project banking, accounting and data entry.

Specific Activities:

  • Assist the Project Manager with the oversight and maintenance of all project-specific files and on-site human ethics paperwork
  • Assist the Project Manager and Field Coordinator with procurement and shipment of project supplies that are needed on site
  • Handle logistics
  • Arrange for postal and courier service to send project related materials whenever needed
  • Assist with the management of project payroll and benefits
  • Maintain records of correspondence with the Indian government and regulatory bodies and the St. John’s ethical review board
  • Draft minutes in all project meetings
  • Assist in the research functions associated with the project site, including but not limited to filing of forms, assisting with paperwork and facilitating communication as required
  • Prepare letters
  • Handle petty cash
  • Keep track of accounts
  • Data entry of all de-identified laboratory and questionnaire data
  • Assist Data Manager in maintaining an up-to-date database
