Qualification: Master’s Degree in an appropriate Social Science discipline (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, etc.) or equivalent

Languages: English, Kannada and Hindi

Location: Bangalore (will need to travel on the job in Karnataka)

Experience: Experienced / Fresher

Brief Description about the Project:

  • The study is a 5-year-study to implement and evaluate an intervention designed to promote positive, hopeful lives among People Living with HIV (PLHIV). The study targets adherence as part of a more comprehensive wellness program that meets the needs identified by our target population.

Core Responsibilities:

  • To conduct research interviews with PLHIVs
  • To travel to various intervention sites & help in logistical arrangements
  • To make follow up calls to participants
  • To track participants & make home visits where necessary
  • Documentation

Key Skills:

  • Ability to establish rapport and work effectively with individuals of different ethnicities, socioeconomic status, caste, gender and sexual orientation
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills & a team player
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Kannada and English
  • Previous experience working with people living with HIV/AIDS
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
