We from the Division of Clinical Research & Training (DCRT) at St. John's have been conducting courses in Health Research Methods, Evidence Based Medicine and Data Management in collaboration with McMaster University, Canada and supported by the NIH, USA, since 2009 as part of the Centre of Excellence Program

In the last 7 years, we have trained over 1,100 health professionals (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, ethics committee members), industry professionals, post graduate students, study coordinators, regulatory officials and health policy makers. Participants were from all regions of India and other countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Oman, Singapore and the UK.

This one-week course in Health Research Methods & Evidence Based Medicine is being held for health professionals including post graduate & PhD students.

We will use different teaching / learning methods such as lectures, journal clubs, demonstrative statistics practical and group discussions. The faculty are experienced researchers and teachers from India & abroad.

At the end of the workshop, a certificate of participation will be given to deserving candidates.

CME credits are awarded to eligible candidates.

Research Training and Travel Grants

  • Participants can apply for Research Training and Travel Grants subject to approval of grant applications.

  • 25% discount in the registration fees for students/ trainees, candidates from our network institutions and
  • For 3 or more candidates from the same academic institution

To avail of the discount, a letter from the Department / Institutional Head should be sent by email to hrm_training@sjri.res.in & addressed to:
