Qualification: MSW or MSc (Psychology) with basic computer knowledge

Brief Description about the Project:
> To screen children for developmental disorders with special reference to neurodevelopmental problems (Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Delay)
> To understand the association of placental markers with developmental abnormalities in children
Core Responsibilities:
Clinical Responsibilities:
> Managing and maintaining the case details along with their contact numbers
> Following up the recruited cases through phone and filing their medical history
> Should visit the residence of the cases (who are in Bangalore)
> Examination of the child, which will include motor development skill assessment / developmental assessment / screening for autism for which training will be provided
> Counselling the family members to assist them in dealing with neurodevelopmental problems and address their special concerns for which training will be provided
> Maintaining case files and records
Other Responsibilities:
> Attending seminars and workshops
> And all other duties as assigned
Key Skills:
> Knowledge of typical developmental trajectory
> Knowledge of basic tool used for NDD in children aged 2-9 years
> Good interpersonal interaction skills
> Behavioural management skills and counselling skills
> Emotional skills and organizational skills
> Team interaction, collaboration, co-ordination skills
> Must be able to maintain confidentiality
> Basic computer knowledge
Specific Activities:
> Managing the case files and contacting the recruited cases through phone
> The cases should be followed up by visiting their residence
> Assisting the families to understand the problem faced by their children
> Liaising with other research staff and systemize the follow up home visit
> Employing basic screening tools to understand the neurodevelopmental disorder
> Documentation of the child’s history & assessment details
