Brief Description about the Project

1. To explore the association of long-term ambient air pollution (PM2.5) exposure and anaemia among WRA in India, and its moderation by fruit and vegetable intake, using secondary data.

2. To Prospectively study the effect modification by antioxidant and anti-inflammatory nutrients in the association between long-term ambient air pollution (PM 2.5) exposure and anaemia among adolescent girls aged 13-18 years.

Salary: Rs.50,400 /-per month

Location: Bangalore

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Develop field implementation plan for the project
  • Develop questionnaires
  • Training of data collectors
  • Develop Training material for stake holders
  • Co-ordinate project across two sites
  • Monitoring visits for field data collection
  • Conduct data quality checks
  • Prepare reports
  • Prepare and co-ordinate dissemination activities
