Brief Description about the Project:

We are planning to conduct yearlong awareness and advocacy programs at four gram panchayats (ten villages) at Anekal Taluk. This year, participants will be made aware of the environmental impacts of tobacco from cultivation, production, distribution, and waste.

We intend to conduct:

  1. Awareness regarding harmful effects of tobacco use generated among general population of four gram panchayats (ten villages) at Anekal Taluk generated
  2. Workers employed with small scale industries educated and made aware about harmful effects of tobacco and motivated to quit tobacco usage
  3. To organize and help conduct training programs of doctors and nurses for quitting tobacco use
  4. To assist in Printing and distribution of advocacy material, pamphlets, videos etc. and conduct of poster competitions
  5. To organize and help conduct Street plays, nukkad natak, health talks and walks

Research Assistant

Position Starting: 01st October, 2022

No. of Vacancy: One

Employment status: Contract

Salary: CTC Rs 20,000/-pm    

Duration: Start date 1st Aug 2022 for one year

Language: English, Kannada & Telugu.

Experience: Those with appropriate experience will be preferred

Preferred Qualifications: MSW/MSc. Psychology

Location: Anekal District/Bangalore District

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with the NGO in Anekal on various activities mentioned above Setup meetings with various stakeholders regarding the TCC programme Document and collect details on the advocacy programme.
