Brief Description about the Project:
This is an ICMR National Task force project that aims to develop a tool for assessing and identifying anxiety symptoms in individuals in India. This is a three year project and will involve work in a hospital as well as community setting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ability to perform a good literature review
- Ability to interview persons in individual as well as group setting in Kannada
- Ability to create and maintain database
- Ability to transcribe in Kannada as well as English and perform translations within language
- Ability to prepare project report
- Should be prepared to travel to community settings
- Ability to write scientific papers.
Key Skills:
- Fluency and proficiency in Kannada and English.
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of people and professionals on an individual basis as well as in a group setting.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent administration skills
Specific Activities
- Literature review of terms with related to anxiety in local cultural settings
- Identifying whether these terms are commonly used in interviews with individuals and groups
- Travelling to community settings and performing in-depth interviews
- Assessing reliability and validity of the same.
- Other project related work.
