About the Speaker: Dr. K. Ganapathy is a Past President of the Telemedicine Society of India & the Neurological Society of India and formerly an Adjunct Professor @ IIT Madras, & Anna University Formerly Honorary Consultant and Advisor in Neurosurgery Armed Forces Medical Services. In 1990, he became the first in South Asia to get a Ph.D. in neuroimaging. He is Member of the Editorial Board of 4 International and 3 National Journals in Telemedicine and Neurosciences. First neurosurgeon from South Asia to be trained in Stereotactic Radiosurgery in 1995 and later in robotic radiosurgery in 2008. He ventured into Telehealth in 1998. During the last 46 years, he has presented 588 papers in national conferences and 192 in international conferences. He has published 122 scientific papers, 185 articles in magazines and newspapers and 20 chapters in textbooks. He was guest editor for two special supplements of a national and international journal and has edited a book on Health IT . He is on the editorial board of 8 and review articles for 15 national and international journals. Formerly member of the Advisory Committee Dept of Science & Technology, GoI. He is currently a member of BIRAC committees, (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council) Govt of India reviewing research projects for funding. He is also on the WHO Roster of Experts on Digital Health.
