Workshop Objectives
This workshop will use a combination of lectures, individual exercises, discussions, interactive learning, and guided assignments to help participants understand the research designs and biostatistical method in health research. By the end of the workshop participants are expected to: Understand the fundamentals of study design. Understand the aspects of fundamentals of biostatistical methods. Understand the basic statistical terminology and methods of analyzing the data. Be confident in classifying datatypes and conducting analysis of their own data using SPSS/R software and interpreting the results.
Participants will be trained in either SPSS or R software based on their preference
Who should attend?
Any Person with a background in the health sciences, health policy or health administration, who is desirous of improving their understanding of fundamentals of research design and data analysis methods in health research. Post graduate students in the health sciences and those involved in public health should find this workshop relevant.
Organization and delivery
Course faculty will be from St. John’s Medical College & Research Institute. All course material will be provided. The participants must bring a laptop of their own. The workshop will use a variety of teaching-learning methods. These include lectures, quizzes, hands-on training using SPSS/R, one-to-one discussions, and self-directed study.

Tuition fee: Rs:4130 (3500/- (Course fee)+ 630 (18% GST))
