The Division of Nutrition, St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI), Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Nutrition Society of India is planning to conduct a two-week Public Health Nutrition course titled - "Nutrition Research Course to Translate and Utilize Research – NURTURE” at SJRI, from August 19^th to 30^th 2024. 

The course objectives are:

• To provide a comprehensive understanding of the principles of nutrition and its impact on human health across the lifecycle.
• Understand ethical considerations and guidelines in nutrition research.
• Improve research skills for planning, designing, conducting original research studies, and program implementation.
• Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data, interpret results and arrive at conclusions.
• Effectively communicate research findings through peer-reviewed manuscripts.
• Translate research findings into practical recommendations for public health nutrition interventions and policies.

Who can apply:

Doctoral students and young faculty in academia, state institutes, program implementers, and members of non-governmental organizations with a strong commitment to research, program implementation, and building capacity in the parent institution and across India.
 

Key Dates to Note:

Course dates: 19^th to 30^th August 2024.

Application opens on: 01^st July 2024.

Last date to submit the application: 20^th July 2024.

Selected Candidates will be notified on: 25^th July 2024.
 

Course Fees: There is no course fee.
 

Accommodation and Travel:

Accommodation will be provided at St. John’s campus and travel expenses will be covered*.

 *Details regarding accommodation and travel reimbursement will be provided to selected participants.
