Training Course for Health Research Managers (Online)

Course Objectives & Content

The Research Manager will have managerial and administrative responsibilities within the project, after the study has been designed by the Principal Investigator. The Health Research Manager will be expected to:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute the research project                                                           
  • Supervise team members on daily basis to complete the project within timelines
  • Follow national, state or institutional regulations
  • Track project progress periodically and report to management
  • Identify areas for improvement and conduct junior staff training as needed
  • Ensure that research activities are conducted to meet high quality standards
  • Identify key challenges and develop appropriate solutions
  • Stay abreast with latest developments in research techniques
  • Monitor and control expenses within allotted budget

Course duration, delivery and dates
This is a 6 weeks online course provided in both English + vernacular languages [English & Kannada] [English & Tamil]. It will be hosted and delivered online by St John’s Medical College and Research Institute. After successful registration, participants will be provided with a ‘username’ and ‘password’. The course can then be accessed anytime using a computer or tablet or smartphone. The course duration is 1 May 2025 till 15 June 2025.
 

Who should register
This course is for the professional develop-ment of the Health Research Manager — this may be a Research Coordinator or Research Supervisor or Research Associate in a research project in the health or social sector. The project may be within a healthcare institution, in a social service institution or in the urban/rural/slum community. The candidate may be sponsored by their department/institution or may be self-sponsored.
 

Course Fees

INR 2,500/- (for sponsored candidates) + 18% GST
INR 5,000/- (for non-sponsored candidates) + 18% GST
