The primary objective of the meeting is deliberating the operationalising of the ICMR Guidelines on the Ethical Use of AI in Biomedical Research and Healthcare 2023 using Informed Consent as the entry point to address other ethical dilemmas of using AI.
The process will include collating a set of case studies presented and discussed at the meeting(s). Through the meetings, analysing the gaps, potential challenges and make recommendations towards augmenting the relevance and effectiveness of ICMR Guidelines in practice and finally tools will be developed to disseminate toolsand mechanisms to address and mitigate ethical challenges potentially emerging from AI in biomedical research and healthcare
