Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) Adherence and Temperature Surveillance Project

The objective of this study is to design, develop and evaluate an innovative Remote BioMonitoring device for effectively tracking Kangaroo Mother Care adherence and temperature (neonatal & maternal) surveillance for up to four weeks for corrective action in 100 mother-baby dyads in selected study settings in Southern India.

The Division of Medical Informatics in collaboration with the Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Population Health who were the primary recepients of the Grant  is involved in coordinating the Data acquisition, Management and the Analytics to measure KMC adherence for Newborns in need.  The technology partners for this study include the ECE Department,  Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
