ICMR in collaboration with Division of Clinical Research and Training, St. John's Research Institute an ICMR Centre of Excellence (ICMR CCoE) (2024-2029) has organized a workshop on health research methods at DHR-Multidisciplinary unit (DHR-MRU), Nagaland Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Kohima, Nagaland.

- Framing research questions and study design
- Sampling, statistical tests, and data analysis
- Research protocols, ethics, and regulatory aspects
- Grant writing, budgeting, and publication strategies
- Systematic reviews and meta-analysis
- intellectual property rights and patent processing
Participants: 27 participants from 6 cities in Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram from 18 specialties.
Faculty: From ICMR and CCoE (St. John’s).
Fund: CCT grant of Host MRU (NIST, Kohima, Nagaland)
Expected outcomes: The outcomes of each workshop will be:
Short term

At least 3 Research questions /MRU to be identified and protocol to be finalized within 2 weeks of completion of workshop and submitted to LRAC.

At least 1 Project to be initiated within 6 months of completion of workshop in each MRU and supported through MRU (after obtaining necessary approval including IEC)
