Student Exchanges at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH)

HSPH - SJRI Nutrition Initiative

The Department of Nutrition at SJRI, in collaboration with the Department of Nutrition at HSPH and funded by the United States India Education Foundation's Obama Singh Knowledge Initiative, is offering the opportunity for student exchange visits to HSPH.  Faculty at HSPH have longstanding interests in maternal and child health, nutritional epidemiology, chronic diseases, global health, biostatistics, ethics, and other areas of relevance to public health problems of India, and short courses in many of these topics are taught at HSPH. Students will be paired with a mentoring faculty member at HSPH for the duration of their 4-8 week visit as well as an SJRI faculty member to jointly mentor their work. Travel costs, visa, housing and limited per diem costs will be reimbursed to the student.
 
The successful candidate will:

  • Be a current SJRI student in health or allied sciences
  • Provide current SJRI transcripts
  • Describe their research experience
  • Describe their long-term career interests and how their participation in this program will be furthered
